On Sunday 25th October, Seacourt’s pickleball team travelled to Wickham Pickleball Club for a friendly but competitive afternoon of matches.
The Seacourt team included a mixture of beginners and intermediate players, with each pairing playing six matches against different mixed doubles teams.
It was an incredibly close competition, with Wickham narrowly taking the overall team victory by 19 matches to Seacourt’s 17.
The afternoon finished with a final match between the two most successful pairings from each club, and this time Seacourt came out on top!
Away matches can be particularly challenging for newer players. The team had to adapt to faster competition balls, different court surfaces, and an unfamiliar playing environment. However, these experiences are all part of improving, building confidence, and gaining valuable match experience.
A huge congratulations to everyone who represented Seacourt, particularly those taking part in their very first away competition.
Our Seacourt players were:
Helen & Stuart
Debbie & Jimmie
Sharon & Rob
Louise & Nadine
Sharon & Derek
Jo & Steve
Well done to everyone involved!
A massive thank you to Wickham Pickleball Club for their wonderful hospitality. We always love playing against Wickham, and it’s a pleasure to share the courts with such a friendly and welcoming club. Thank you for making the afternoon so enjoyable, and we look forward to our next match together!
We look forward to more friendly competitions and opportunities for our growing pickleball community to get involved!
