Seacourt welcomed Clanfield on Sunday 18th October for a friendly but competitive home match. Although Seacourt suffered a heavy defeat, the final score didn’t reflect just how close many of the games were, with several finishing 11–8 or 11–9.
Special congratulations go to Helen Carpendale and Linda Calder, who both secured two victories each.
It was also fantastic to see so many new Seacourt players taking part in their first competitive matches, gaining valuable experience and enjoying the friendly atmosphere.
And to everyone who didn’t manage a win this time, don’t be disheartened! Every match is a chance to learn, improve and build confidence. Keep playing, enjoy the experience, and perhaps try a little coaching to help develop your game. Remember, we all learn from our losses, and those wins will come!
As always, it was a pleasure to play Clanfield, with plenty of great rallies, good sportsmanship and smiles all round. We’re already looking forward to our next meeting!
