The Gordon Grady Cup 2026

On Saturday, August 22nd, Seacourt hosted the Gordon Grady Cup, featuring seven players—six from Seacourt and one from Leamington. The Seacourt players included Luca Morriss, Sam Pickup, Austin Russell, Toby Russell, and Thomas Hartman, while the visitor from Leamington Tennis Club was Freddie Andrews.

In the first group, Luca and Austin advanced to the semi-finals, while Thomas and Toby did so in the second group.

The first semi-final saw Luca face Toby, with Luca winning 6-2. In the second semi-final, Thomas competed against Austin, with Thomas emerging victorious at 6-3.

The final featured a packed crowd ready for an exciting match, and it did not disappoint. Both players worked hard, serving well and chasing down every ball. After a competitive match, Luca triumphed over Thomas with an 8-4 victory, winning the 2026 Gordon Grady Cup. Congratulations, Luca!

Throughout the day, the level of tennis improved, and everyone enjoyed the experience. A special thanks goes to our sponsor, Jane Grady, whose commitment to the tournament was exceptional. She provided goodie bags and T-shirts for the children, a full lunch spread for everyone, and offered support at every match. Thank you, Jane, for making the day special for us all.

We also appreciate the parents for helping to get everyone ready to play. We look forward to next year!
