On Sunday, June 15th, a Dedanists team embarked on a day trip to the seaside for a match against Seacourt. As is customary, the weather was beautiful and sunny on the Island, setting the stage for an exciting game. Four members of the Dedanists team were playing in their first-ever Society match and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The match featured a strong presence from the Tennis & Racket Association (T&RA), including local resident Chris Davies, the CEO of the T&RA, who played as a guest, and Dedanist Richard Compton-Burnett, the Chairman of the T&RA. All matches were expertly officiated by Seacourt young player Will Flynn.
The Seacourt kitchen provided a delicious lunch for the players, and the bar remained open throughout the event. The entire match was played in a spirit of camaraderie, united by a mutual love of the game.
