Seacourt members John Ward and David Brazier won the over 80’s Lawn Tennis Doubles at Queen’s Club last week. It was a tight match and with one set all, they then won the tiebreak 10-8 after being on the court for 2 ¼ hours!
Let’s hope John has enough left in the tank for the World Overs Real Tennis tournament which starts next week. He is running the over 80’s in which there are 16 in the draw and is being played at Hatfield House.
Two other Seacourt members are playing in the World Masters. Luke Danby is running the over 50’s UK team and Paul Weaver is in the over 70’s team. They will be competing against the USA, Australia and France.
