Festive Fun at the New Year Pickle Social Competition

New Year Pickle

What a weekend to remember for our pickle-loving community! The courts were buzzing as the Pickle Social Players came together for a fun, festive, and friendly tournament that had everyone smiling from first serve to final point.

Five teams battled it out with energy, laughter, and some seriously impressive rallies. A huge shoutout goes to Charlie Evans for organising such a brilliant event, with his daughter Holly stepping up to the all-important role of choosing some individual awards – no pressure there! The semi-finals were a real highlight, with Team 1 (Charlie, Kaylee, Anthony, and Joanna) going head-to-head with Team 5 (Pete, Ryan, Linda, Julie, and Vince) in matches that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Special awards were proudly claimed by Ryan Wallace, Sharon Bond, and Nathan Brasher, recognising not just skill, but spirit and sportsmanship too. Across the board, the standard of play was fantastic, matched only by the warmth and encouragement between players.

Well done to all the Seacourt Pickle players, your hard work, teamwork, and passion are clearly paying off. If this tournament is anything to go by, the future of pickle at Seacourt is looking very bright indeed.
