Fencing

Seacourt has been hosting fencing for over 30 years and plays a key part within the many activities offered to tennis club members. With the juniors meeting on a Wednesday evening and Senior Club Night on a Thursday, it has now firmly established itself as one of Seacourt’s regular fixtures.

Seacourt fencers meet every week and adult and junior classes are open to enthusiasts of any standard.

Structured tuition, proficiency awards and individual lessons are all available at the Seacourt. The club regularly enters teams and individuals in county and higher levels of competition. In addition we hold our internal competitions in all three weapons; Foil, Epee and Sabre. South Hampshire Fencing at Seacourt

Our friendly club members warmly welcome sword fencers of all ages from 7 to 70+ and all standards from complete beginner to experienced international. The Senior Club fences every week (apart from the two weeks over Christmas and New Year and during the month of August) on Thursday from 8.30-11pm. Our junior section (for youngsters aged 7-14) meets on a Wednesday evening from 7-8pm during term time for a fully structured session of fencing tuition.

Seacourt Fencing Club is keen to promote the sport of fencing and plays an active part in the Hampshire Union and Southern Region.

We hire two sports halls for senior fencing which enables us to accommodate six fencing pistes simultaneously of which four can be fully equipped with 3 weapon electric equipment. We have also recently acquired a full length metallic piste for competition training.

Our club maintains a large stock of fencing clothing and equipment (foil, épée and sabre) which is freely available for use by any fencer, so all you need to start fencing is a pair of trainers, long tracksuit trousers and a desire to try something different.

Seacourt Juniors reconvened on 14^th September. New members are very welcome.
