Congratulations to Team Seacourt, who claimed victory in the 3rd King Alfred Cup hosted by Winchester Pickleball Club this weekend. Competing in the 3.0+ event, Seacourt delivered a fantastic display of teamwork, determination, and good humour to bring home the trophy.
Teams from Seacourt, Winchester, Dorset, and Haslemere battled it out across a series of fast-paced matches. Representing Seacourt were four talented pairs:
Steven Young & Kaylee Brasher, Darren Francis & Linda Adler, Nathan Brasher & Jo Francis, and Anthony Scanes & Matt Simpson, with Kaylee Brasher leading as Team Captain.
Each pair played an impressive 12 matches, with games raced to 11 points. The tournament was packed with skill, friendly rivalry, and plenty of sportsmanship from start to finish.
After registration kicked off bright and early at 8:30 am, play got underway at 9 am for over three hours of thrilling pickleball action.
A huge well done to Seacourt for their well-deserved win – and congratulations to all teams who helped make the tournament such a smashing success!
