On the 9th and 10th of December 2023, the Seacourt Padel Group organised their second Padel competition. Chris Satchwell and Mike Kenny led the event. Thirty-two players were randomly paired up to play the best of three games, with a 10-point tiebreaker to determine the winner. All games were well contested and played in a friendly, competitive atmosphere.
The final match between Ian Allison/Merv Jones and Simon Hughes/Ian Knight was a highly fought event, with a packed balcony watching. The score went back and forth, but ultimately Ian Allison and Merv Jones emerged victorious, with Ian having to run a lot to secure the win. Congratulations to all the players who participated.
The finalists received an inscribed Seacourt glass to commemorate the 2023 event.
